I don’t know what it is about spring semesters. They somehow always seem to go by really fast, and drag on at the same time. I don’t remember a good spring semester out of the four of them, but I never remember anything. I can’t wait for this semester to be over. I don’t want to worry about how many exams I have this week, or what parts of the project are due. I miss working more than a couple hours at a time. I somehow miss having the time to read. Not looking forward to the heat, but I can’t wait for summer break to start.
Oh well, things will be done soon enough. Summer will be full of projects. Need to learn more about my recent sparc system, get linux on it, finish some Surliness things, fix some mail things. I have a shit load of things I want to read, and after a few discussions with Rich and Rob I want to read a graphic novel (probably Earth X). I need to finish Snow Crash, and my Kevin Smith book just got shipped. And I would really like to read another book from the Hitchhiker’s Guide. AHH!! Too many to read, not enough skill/patience.
On a good note, I just found out that the official trailer to the first Firefly movie comes out on Tuesday. I just beat my high score on Tron again (25,982). We’re watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in film class this week. All sorts of stuff going on.

Gaming for Hope is in 2 days! Everyone should at least drop by, random fun is always had. This year we have an official DCI Magic judge who will be running tournaments, tables for board games, and big raffles (Sony PSP and Nintendo DS). Even if you don’t play games, you should definately drop by the McCann center to see what’s going on. We always do stupid things like play with foam darts and have competitions like who can hold their hand in ice water the longest.
For those that will be playing games, I’m building a patch server tongiht. Let me know (email: jax@parazoid.net) what patches, bonuspacks, maps, demos you want and I’ll be sure to have it all ready by the time the event starts.

I’m sure there’s a lot more going on that I don’t remember. And this doesn’t reflect school work at all, not to mention that I’m always reading for or working on Surliness.
I started thinking about post-college lately, and that makes me sad. I look at the software that I work with and realize that I don’t know this stuff as well as I should. I can’t program as well as I should. I don’t know what I’m going to do for a job after college. Good thing I don’t have to worry about it too much yet.
