Holy shit!

Most people that have at least seen what Half Life is will appreciate this. http://members.home.nl/gis/. It’s just amazing what some people can do with some spare time and skill.

Cold

Almost anybody who has met me can tell you that I’m generally a nice guy. I’m only mean or non-helpful if you give me reason to be (or if you find me just after someone gives me a reason). Regardless, I’m never flat out cold to someone. I hate being cold to people, it’s not like me.
I hate being cold to people, but sometimes I need to be in order to not get hurt more. I hate it, but need to keep reminding myself that it’s better. =((

Get better soon Pat!

Sunday I installed gentoo and watched a few episodes of Farscape. For something that a lot of people having problems with, it was fairly straight forward, but then again, I didn’t install any software past what was needed to boot. A new release came out Monday and since I want to be more familiar with it, I started again today around noon. I remembered most of the steps, and had no problems. I even submitted a bug report to fix some documentation. Maybe gentoo will replace Slackware for me.
Speaking of which….For those of you that don’t know, the maintainer of Slackware is named Patrick Volkerding. Great guy if you ever talk to him. However, today he publicly announced how he’s been battling Actinobacteria since 2001. Good to know that he’s doing better. Read more here.
Yesterday was supposed to be a great day. That was the plan up until a month ago anyways. The way it worked though sucked. I had no luck with anything I did (I blame you Flash!!). The OS group pissed me off again and got nothing accomplished (In what world is it a good idea for everyone to draw out their own plans, then collaborate with the others later?), followed by the splitting headache that started around 4 and just kept getting worse until 11 when I could finally take something for it. But I didn’t think too much about why yesterday was supposed to be good….until about 6:00 pm today. Damn this sucks….
Oh! People need to go see Breaking Benjamin on Dec. 14 with me. I don’t care what finals you have, these guys sound amazing, and I really need to find out what their shows are like. If you need to listen to some of their stuff, come over and preview it.

Wow! Is there an exam on being retarded that’s required in order to drive on Route 9? I don’t remember failing that one, but I must be wrong. Tonight we tested Pyg’s driving ability, and the new 250 dollar brakes he just had installed. Results were good. Now off to watch Farscape and take a nap.

Recap

OK, didn’t post right after failing my Algo exam, but here is the post anyway. I think I have passed the last two tests I took (which is a feat for me) so I’ve been in a decent mood. Somethings outside of school have been going well too, but I’m not sure if I want to get into it now.
Hmm, where to start. I’ve been keeping myself busy watching Farscape and Firefly. I do need to suggest that everybody watch Firefly (the entire 14 episode series) at least once. And be sure to go to the movie with me April 22. I’ve also been reading a lot of development type things and doing a little web work (not enough). Still need to write my resume 🙁 I did shut down moe the other day since I have successfully moved all my data to duffman, and it’s almost organized. It is definately easier to get to (read Windows users can easily get it). However, I re-arranged my computer layout again yesterday, so moe will get resurrected, and it will be time to move the data again.
Right now I’m rebuilding lenny so that I can start installing gentoo on cordova tonight. I’ve been waiting to do this all week. If I learn enough gentoo, I’ll install that on duffman later too.
So movie reviews! Obviously, I saw The Incredibles (twice even)! And of course, it was an awesome movie. I might go see it again for a third time soon, but I gotta catch The Polar Express first. Maybe I’ll take care of that this weekend.
Alright, no idea what else to tell you. Get the hell out of here
